Our crappy NBN is being overloaded right now.
It was overloaded before it started but that's a rant for another time. There are previous NBN rants here if you are interested.
There are swathes of people new to remote working who need help now and into the future.
Remote support over the internet is not new and there are lots of options.
Some of those options are scams, frauds, difficult to use, expensive or just plain hard to use.
I've been through a lot of these tools over the years and, at the moment, my favourite is Anydesk.com.

It is lean, mean and close to the easiest one I have ever used.
I can talk most people through getting started without too much hassle.
You don't even have to actually install it to use it either.
It works on pretty much everything; Mac, PC, smart phones, linux and so on.
The price is right for home users too i.e. FREE.
If you want remote support from me it is what I will use.
So if you have friends and relatives who are technophobes or new to computing (or old to it and hopeless) then Anydesk may be what you are looking for if you want to help them.
To make it easy for you I have included the instructions I email to my customers when using Anydesk with them the first time.
These instructions attempt to make even the small overhead easy to deal with.
Good luck :-)
David
P.S. I have also written up how to set up on-demand remote control using Anydesk - that means you can connect to a remote computer without someone having to be there to OK it. Be careful how and why you do this.
It is available for download from my Facebook Information Sheets group https://www.facebook.com/groups/809493585833507/
