FunnieS at Frank’s once again celebrates International Women’s Day with an all female line-up on Friday the 5th of March.

The inimitable and previously local Rachel Berger headlines the show.

RACHEL BERGER is one of Australia’s most highly regarded, adept, and adaptive comedic talents, working variously as a comedian, broadcaster, novelist, columnist, agitator and television entertainer. Political, passionate and armed only with her material, Rachel has been prowling the stand-up circuit like a tigress for 30 years. She’s taken four solo shows to the Edinburgh Festival and her dynamic presence and engagingly sharp observations have made her an extremely popular performer both live and on television, across Australia and overseas. Her debut novel for Penguin, “Whaddya Mean You’re Allergic To Rubber?” sold out faster than Judas.

There will be 3 supporting comedians, Anna Kidd, Nellie Ryan and Amanda Bergmann and special guest host Annie Harvey all of whom are Tassie comedy stars in their own right.

“It’s a special show this year, we are supporting a friend and fellow comedian Sally Rose-McShane” said FunnieS regular host David Moore.

“The event will be supporting ‘Wheels for Willow. Willow is Sally’s daughter and she is facing a very, very tough time. They are the most amazing and strong women you could meet and they need our help. So FunnieS IWD is completely about, for and by wonderful women this year…as it should be” David added.

To raise money for Willow’s needs FunnieS has built a donation into the ticket prices for this show.

Tickets for this event will default to a price of $35 each. $10 of that goes directly to "Wheels for Willow". We thought this the easiest way to raise money for her.
