Get Microsoft Office free, or something similar...

Pretty much everyone needs some sort of "office" suite of programs for word processing and maybe a spreadsheet or two.

I recently received two emails about this.

One about how to get Microsoft Office free of charge and one about the properly free alternatives to Microsoft Office that people like.

It is worth noting that getting MS Office properly free is not simple for everyone, for obvious reasons. Some only give you office temporarily or hamstrung in some way.

If you want proper, simple, permanently free MS Office compatible word processing then you may find it best to just bypass the supposed free Microsoft article (unless you are a student or a registered charity).
