It is easy to poke fun at the government for how they "do" technology. I know, I am regularly forced (forced damn it) to lampoon the performance and lack thereof of various government departments in this regard.

But not today folks.

Today I am pointing you to the Australian Cyber Security Centre web site for some preventative maintenance.

Consider this web site your apple to keep the doctor away...

...and if you do get into trouble they can help after the fact too!

As you can see from the screen grab above, they cover personal, businesses (large and small) and even Government.

You should have a browse through the sections that apply to you as soon as you finish reading this or at least make yourself an appointment to do so.

There's so much information here and you should take notes as you go so you can plug your cyber security gaps.

You should also sign up for their alerts so that you can be emailed things you need to be aware of.

It really is a very good collection of resources.
