Restarting your graphics driver/s

To restart your graphics drivers, press Win+Ctrl+Shift+B on your keyboard. Your screen will go black for a split second, you’ll hear a beep and then everything will then reappear just as it was before you pressed the hotkey. All your current applications should remain open and you won’t lose any work. It can be used at any time. Just be aware taht some programs may not like this happening mid way through their operation e.g. maybe some games or other graphically intense activities. But that's kinda the point, you'll only be doing this if something is awry with your display/s. This reset is part of the Windows 10 operating system and should work with whatever graphics hardware your PC has. Note that your PC may be running 2 graphics adapters i.e. the "discrete" adapter and the built-in/onboard/integrated adapter.

Switching between these adapters varies from machine to machine. Be aware that this reset procedure may effect some unanticipated changes...but, by rights, it shouldn't :-) David
