Easier emoji insertion with latest versions of Windows 10

If you have struggled or just been annoyed with the problem of inserting emojis where you want them, well the most recent versions of Windows 10 now include an emoji hot-key combination which helps with exactly that.

To open the emoji inserter, press Win+. or Win+; on your keyboard i.e hold the Windows key down and press either the period (.) or semicolon (;) key.

Of course, not all programs and text editors allow the insertion of emojis so don't be too surprised if you are still thwarted here and there.

With the tool you can also search (magnifying glass) by typing what it is you want e.g. type in the work "cake" and this ... 🎂

If you choose the the person icon a skin tone panel is available at the top of the tool.

I am not sure it has all the bases covered but at least everything sin't white for a change.
